While researching, I discovered a significant safety issue related to ice falls. According to the CDC, in the USA, 1,000,000 people annually suffer injuries from ice falls, leading to 17,000 deaths. I've personally witnessed lives forever changed by ice slips and seek a better solution than manual ice chippers.

I tested numerous ice chippers from North America and Europe but found none suitable. Chipping ice proves to be a highly technical challenge.

• Current small impact tools use a high impact rate to compensate for a lack of force, but this approach is ineffective for thick ice. Thick ice demands a minimum impact energy per stroke to break molecular bonds.

• Effective larger impact tools need powerful motors weighing over 35 pounds, making them difficult, slow, and impractical to use.

• Finally, many of these more powerful devices I tested were so bulky, heavy, and powerful that they damaged the sidewalk

Finally, after years of testing, research and many failed development attempts, we created the world's first prototype tool designed specifically for dealing with ice and packed snow on driveways and sidewalks

• The impact tool has a patent pending adjustable impact energy per strike, so you can turn the impact up for thick ice or turn it down to not damage the sidewalk

• This patent pending “long stroke” design also allows the device to use a lighter-weight battery-powered motor while retaining a sustained impact rate larger than a manual ice chipper.
